HEARTS LIKE FLOWERS

Just when I thought I had lost my last nerve
You came along with your heart open wide
And poured out such love I didn't deserve
All I had lost was now waiting inside

I tried to stand up but my knees grew weak
Then all I could do was fall on my face
I couldn't find the words worthy to speak
Tears rolled like waves in a river of grace

Quiet and peace like a cradle did rock
The lullaby breath of angels did sing
I heard the sound of the Comforter's knock
Like heavenly bells with sweet freedom's ring

I've found all the rest and the strength I need
Within a servant's heart, beating to bleed...
