A
PRAYER FOR THE AGING
O FATHER, Father, I come humbly to Thee;
Thou art my own Saviour though aged I be.
I need daily guidance on my weary path,
the unfaltering strength that only Thou hath.
When I was a mere child, I stayed near Thy Throne,
Then in adulthood I walked more on my own,
But once more since older, the harder I've tried.
There's daunting proof I must stay close to Thy Side.
O FATHER, Father, ever nearer to Thee;
Thou art my own Saviour though aged I be.
Let me lean in your arms through labor and rest,
only with Thee, through Thee can I be my best.
